Dentistry personnel is exposed to a higher risk of contracting viruses and, or bacterial diseases during dental procedures. Contaminants are either airborne, or aerosol-borne.

The ULT DENT-Series provides an additional safety measure to minimize the spread in operatory rooms tremendously.

The capturing element is perfectly designed for extraoral aerosol evacuation, allowing for maximum elbow-room for the dentist. The three-joint extraction arm has a proven track in dental applications. It can be whipped down conveniently and is easy to adjust. The evacuator can remotely be turned on and off by the foot switch.

All ULT DENT units come with an U15 (Ultra Low Particulate Air) filter. The filtration efficiency is greater than 99.9995% at 0.1 to 0.3 microns – exactly the size spectrum of most viruses and bacteria. The RegBox150 comes as an option and kills pathogens by flushing the filter set-up of the evacuator with heated air.

Even Better than HEPA - ULPA

Bacteria and viruses come in different sizes. Bacteria for instance do have a diameter of up to 1 micrometer. Viruses however range from 20 to 300 nm in size. They are mostly bound to aerosols in the air we breathe.

Viruses are not airborne individually, but stuck on droplets forming aerosols. Those aerosols escape the oral cavity during dental procedures.

Each and every U15 filter applied to ULT DENT units is being tested individually according to DIN EN 1822 with an aerosol of 0.1 to 0.3 microns. This size spectrum represents the Most Penetrating Particle Size (MPPS), particles too small to be separted by impact and too big to be captured by diffusion. The size of a CORONA virus is exactly within this spectrum. The higher the efficiency of the filter in this particular range, the safer for dental personnel and patients. That is the reason why ULT is going above and beyond HEPA, applying U15 filters to the DENT series. ULT U15 filter do have an filter efficiency of greater 99.9995% at 0.1 to 0.3 microns, making them the best filter available on the market.

The especially designed aerosol pre-filter retains moisture and coarse particles, extending the lifetime of the downstream U15 filter significantly. The unique structure of the pre-filter media allows for a perfectly balanced airflow, even with progressing blockage.

Extraction Arm and Capturing Elements

The three-joint extraction arm is made from Polypropylene. PP is resistant to disinfection agents, making it the perfect choice for medical applications. The capturing element should be replaced and disinfected after every treatment.

The RegBox150

Inactivating Viruses and Bacteria Efficiently

Contaminants and pathogens are settling inside the extraction arm, the filter media of the prefilter and the U15 filter cassette. The only reliable procedure to inactivate pathogens is flushing the evacuator system with heated air. The Reg-Box150 provides warm air at 150 Degree Fahrenheit to the hooked-up evacuator, flushing the entire system time controlled for 60 minutes. After the process the RegBox150 and the evacuator power down automatically.
